beskid_sadecki_200pxWe are planning a joint UK Continuous Cover Forestry Group (CCFG)/ProSilva Ireland study visit to Southern Poland next summer, provisionally arriving on Wed 24th June and leaving on Sat 27th June.

The tour will be based on the Experimental Forestry Unit in Krynica Zdrój (in the Beskid Sadecki mountains, the Carpathians) and there will be visits to a variety of forestry locations including 2 reserves on the Thursday and Friday. The programme allows for some site-seeing.   See draft programme.

Estimated cost: c. £160/€200.     This does not include the cost of travel to and from Poland – participants should make their own travel arrangements to Krakow.

If you are interested in coming on the visit please could you let the UK  CCFG Administrator know so that we can estimate numbers and also confirm your interest with ProSilva Ireland Foreign Relations co-ordinator Donal O’Hare: dppohare@gmail.com
