About this Event:
Paddy Purser (CCF Forester and ex Chair of ProSilva Ireland) will present his observations and experience of natural regeneration in continuous cover forestry in Ireland. In a visually rich presentation, Paddy will talk about the benefits, the threats and the different strategies trees use to regenerate. Drawing on his extensive experience he’ll discuss the conditions that are necessary for natural regeneration to take place and how to respond to natural regeneration when it appears. The presentation is intended to be of practical assistance to forest owners and foresters who are grappling with the do’s and don’ts around natural regeneration.
There will be time for an extensive Q&A session after the presentation.
